Final Fantasy VII Revelation Finally Has a Release Date

Square Enix finally dated the finale of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy and revealed major new gameplay systems.

Square Enix finally put a date on the ending of its Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy. Final Fantasy VII Revelation launches April 8, 2027 on PlayStation 5, with pre-orders already live after its extended State of Play reveal.

The new footage showed a much broader world built around the Highwind airship, giving players a new way to cross the planet while still using chocobos on the ground.

Combat is expanding through the new FITS system. Four specialized styles - Warrior, Knight, Black Mage and Summoner - alter abilities and character roles.

Revelation will also let players switch between party members while exploring and choose which character handles certain quests.

Queens Blood is returning too, this time with a larger storyline centered on Red XIII.

The Premium Edition includes a Story Expansion Pass with two story-focused DLC packs and 24-hour early access.
