Privacy Policy
TRENDWIRE keeps reader data collection limited to what is useful for operating and improving the publication.
Information you provide
TRENDWIRE does not require reader accounts. If you join the TRENDWIRE Brief, we store the email address you submit so the publication can manage that subscription and provide unsubscribe functionality.
Article readership
To reduce inflated view counts, TRENDWIRE counts readership only after a page has remained visible in a browser for a short period. A random first-party identifier may be used to deduplicate article views for a limited period. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the Trending view-count system.
Local preferences
Your browser may store preferences such as light or dark theme locally on your device. This allows the site to remember those choices without creating a TRENDWIRE account.
Analytics and service providers
TRENDWIRE may use analytics, newsletter-delivery and infrastructure providers to operate and improve the publication. When those services are active, they may process standard technical information required to provide their service. TRENDWIRE reviews this policy when the services it uses materially change.
Your choices
Newsletter subscribers can use the unsubscribe link provided with email delivery. Privacy questions or requests relating to information you submitted can be sent to hello@trendwire.org.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated as TRENDWIRE adds or changes services. The review date above indicates when this page was last materially reviewed.
