Netflix has released the first teaser for its new Pride and Prejudice adaptation, giving viewers an early look at Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy.
The project is a six-part series written by Dolly Alderton and directed by Euros Lyn. Netflix says it will premiere in 2026, although the Tudum announcement does not give a specific release date.
Olivia Colman is also part of the ensemble, alongside Rufus Sewell, Freya Mavor, Jamie Demetriou, Daryl McCormack, Rhea Norwood, Siena Kelly and Louis Partridge.
The new version enters a crowded history of Austen adaptations, so the main search interest is not whether Pride and Prejudice is returning, but how this cast and six-episode format will distinguish itself from previous screen versions.
For now, the teaser confirms the central pairing and tone without giving enough information to make broader claims about how closely the series will follow the novel scene by scene.
