Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame Encore rerelease campaign has opened with enormous attention. Deadline reports that the trailer generated 77 million views in its first 24 hours.
That figure gives the rerelease a level of launch interest more typical of a new tentpole than a returning film. Deadline says the result was more than four times the viewership of any previous trailer for the title.
Encore is being positioned as an event version of the 2019 blockbuster rather than a routine catalog return, using the scale of Endgame’s original audience as the foundation for a new theatrical push.
The trailer performance does not guarantee equivalent box-office demand, but it is a strong signal that Marvel can still activate a huge online audience around one of the MCU’s biggest legacy titles.
TRENDWIRE will keep box-office claims separate from trailer metrics as the campaign develops; for now, the confirmed story is the 77-million-view first-day trailer result.
