Twitch is opening a major creator-revenue tool to a much larger group of streamers. As of August 20, Affiliates can access sponsorship opportunities directly through Twitch rather than the system being largely limited to Partners.

Why it mattersTwitch has opened its integrated sponsorship system to Affiliates, letting more streamers get discovered by brands, run campaigns and receive payment through Twitch.

Twitch says eligible Affiliates can be discovered by brands, join campaigns that match the advertiser’s criteria, execute the campaign and get paid through the Sponsorship Dashboard workflow.

The expansion follows earlier one-off campaigns, including Minecraft promotions. Twitch says more than half of the paid streamers participating in those Minecraft campaigns were Affiliates, which the company cites as evidence of brand demand beyond its Partner tier.

This does not mean every Affiliate is guaranteed a sponsorship. Campaign eligibility still depends on what individual brands are looking for, but the important platform change is that Affiliates are now part of the built-in marketplace.

For smaller streamers, that reduces one of the traditional gaps between community growth and brand monetization: sponsorship discovery can now happen inside Twitch itself.
